A few key tools will be needed to accomplish this: <a href="https://www.terraform.io/?ref=localhost">Terraform</a>, <a href="https://argo-cd.readthedocs.io/en/stable/?ref=dynamicvsm.com">ArgoCD</a> and <a href="https://aws.amazon.com/eks/?ref=dynamicvsm.com">EKS</a>.<br><br>This software factory demo will explore GitOps, why it is useful and how you can begin using it. The workload shown in this demo is the <a href="https://www.weave.works/blog/sock-shop-microservices-demo-application/?ref=localhost">Sock Shop Demo App</a>, from WeaveWorks, along with a Jenkins CI/CD server that is <a href="https://github.com/jenkinsci/configuration-as-code-plugin?ref=dynamicvsm.com">configured with code</a>.</p><p>By rendering critical cloud architecture in your portfolio as code, it is feasible that every day could be a Disaster Recovery exercise. The subject of my talk will explore how combining <a href="https://www.gitops.tech/?ref=dynamicvsm.com">GitOps</a> with <a href="https://kubernetes.io/?ref=dynamicvsm.com">Cloud-Native Kubernetes</a> clusters can reduce waste and accelerate delivery flows.<br><br>In this session, you will be shown how to leverage infrastructure as code, along with GitOps tooling, to seamlessly build and deploy an example workload in Google Kubernetes Engine.
